A spate of late-night assaults and robberies near downtown has Denver police asking the community to be cautious and on the lookout.

Seven of the eight attacks in the past 10 weeks happened near the intersection of Lawrence Street and Park Avenue West in the evening or early morning. One attack took place 17th and Champa streets.

A majority of the targets were transients or were intoxicated when they were attacked, according to Denver Police Department spokesman Sonny Jackson.

I'm kind of surprised the city is willing to admit this. City Hall has a long history of downplaying/covering up crime problems in and around downtown Denver out of fear of scaring away visitors with money. What is now called "Park Avenue West" was renamed that years ago when it earned such a horrible reputation by its original name, "23rd Street." The intersection of Park Avenue West and Lawrence street has a homeless shelter and a ton of heroin and alcohol addicts. It's in the part of the city called Five Points, and anyone familiar with Five Points knows its long history with black gangs, notably the Crips.

First we had the racially-motivated attack spree against whites by gang members as initiation (with some 32 arrests), now it looks as if it could be the same thing yet again, just with a different way of attacking. Key parts of this article point to the Denver Police talking through their rectal cavities with their insistence that these attacks aren't racial like last time. You have to read halfway down the page before the races of the victims and attackers are mentioned:

While in every instance the victims were white men and the attacker or attackers black men, police do not believe the crimes to be racially motivated.

In only one instance did an attacker utter a racial epithet, Jackson said.

In November 2009, police rounded up 33 black men and teenagers who were sucker punching white and Latino men in the LoDo entertainment district and video taping the attacks as rites of passage.
Police conducted a months-long undercover investigation into the racially motivated assaults and robberies, but drew some criticism for not notifying the public sooner.

In those cases, the attackers travelled in groups of four or five, used racist slang and professed gang ties.

Police don't believe these are the same types of assaults.

"There's nothing to indicate that," Jackson said. "The majority of these are solo individuals."

That's right -- it's always black-on-white but it's not racially-motivated. Amazing how often that comes out. A few years ago a couple blacks kept kidnapping white women in predominantly white southeast Denver, hogtying them, and emptying their ATM cards. Clearly these women were chosen in part because of their race, and in part because of their gender. Charges related to either? Nope, not that the police ever caught them anyway.

With all the homeless blacks around Park Avenue West and Lawrence, we're told that these attacks of blacks singling out whites isn't racial? Denver Police, who the hell do you think you're fooling?

The black-on-white predatorialism in this city is astounding. If whites were doing this to blacks, blacks would be up in arms about it; whites should be no different.

Rocky Flats: The Blessing that Gives and Gives

I have previously blogged about the government PR campaign to gloss over Superfund sites by converting them to so-called wildlife refuges (complete with restocking of animals if needed) as a way of promoting the idea to the public that the area is clean enough and nobody need worry, in spite of widespread contamination, including, literally, radioactive snow and spikes in brain cancers near the plant. The dirt about Rocky Flats keeps coming out, with zero interest by local Denver media. The former FBI agent himself who led the 1989 FBI raid (Jon Lipsky) into Rocky Flats has spoken up about the bipartisan political maneuverings and coverup of what happened at that plant. One important thing that Lipsky's DOJ superiors willfully ignored was the existence of documentary and physical evidence of criticality accidents in Rocky Flats. Criticalities are where out-of-control nuclear chain reactions occur, such as in nuclear explosions or nuclear accidents, which is the only explanation for above-background levels of strontium90 and cesium137 in and around Rocky Flats. These two elements only occur in nuclear criticalities.

Agent Lipsky was given several binders of documentary evidence of critcality accidents by a Rocky Flats worker that stepped forward which he forwarded to his superiors. They took the binders and told him they weren't interested. From there, the documents disappeared into the memory hole and were never heard about again.

Anyone familiar with the happenings in and near the bus stops in the busiest intersection in Colorado aren't surprised...

Quick thought: It's bad enough that throughout the gubernatorial campaign, John Hickenlooper has been dodging negative criticism of his beliefs and policies as "attacks" and using this false claim as an excuse to not answer anything, now he's stooped to a new low and and claimed that a Tancredo commercial with an upset parent complaining of Hickenlooper's handling of a drunken-driving illegal alien who killed a 3 year old boy in the city he is in charge of as "opportunism" and was using that child for political mileage (as if the father of the boy who stepped forward to criticize Hickenlooper was willingly engaging in some political game using his own child as a pawn - what a sickening insinuation the media won't touch!) as his rote escape mechanism to avoid answering for his horrid mayoral policies with illegal aliens. Now, this idiot has exposed to us all how severe his ignorance of the immigration question is by committing a rather large gaffe. In tonight's (10/29) gubernatorial debate, Hickenlooper fell over his tongue in saying that the federal government needs to have a guest worker program for agricultural workers. Please excuse my coming all-caps outburst, but this idiocy is so severe that I cannot avoid it.

Astounding. A woman named Crummy wrote an article to suit her name. Where does the Denver comPost get them? Can you have survey results this skewed without it being rigged, on two key aspects, no less? Introducing the Denver comPost/9Skews propaganda axis.

This is what the comPost and 9Skews did...

The past 10 days or so, (Oct 15-25), several polls have showed gubernatorial candidate Tom "Evil" Tancredo closing in on the lovable, touchy-feely warm/fuzzy John Hickenlooper. Then, poof! This amazing poll comes out, sponsored by the Denver comPost and 9News (the local NBC affiliate which I affectionately call 9Skews) showing Hickenlooper with a massive - indeed insurmountable - lead. The comPost's headline read, "Hickenlooper holds comfy lead in Colo. gubernatorial race," and stated that,

Democratic gubernatorial candidate John Hickenlooper has a wide lead over his opponents going into the last days of the election, despite third-party candidate Tom Tancredo's ability to siphon votes from the Republican nominee, according to a Denver Post/9News poll.

With 49 percent of those surveyed backing him, Hickenlooper now has more support than Tancredo and Republican candidate Dan Maes combined.

And if that wasn't impressive enough,

Hickenlooper is collecting almost 90 percent of Democratic votes and leads Tancredo among those surveyed who have already returned a ballot by 14 percentage points. Among those who haven't voted but say they will, Hickenlooper is up by 7 percentage points.

Wow! Daunting! Does it disenhearten and discourage you Hick haters from bothering to vote? Do you feel demoralized? Want to throw in the towel?

Here's where it gets interesting. Yesterday (10/25), left-leaning Public Policy Voting released a poll on the race. Their data showed that the race is a statistical tie, with Hickenlooper only 3 points above Tancredo. As of today, nearly midday the 26th, the Denver comPost has yet to cover the results of this poll. If that isn't funny enough, the real kicker is in a story the Denver comPost did cover today: Citing data from the Colorado Secretary of State's Office, the comPost admitted,

Republicans are beating Democrats early in the race to the ballot box in Colorado, according to newly released numbers from the secretary of state's office...

With one week until Election Day, Republicans have cast about 25,000 more votes than Democrats at either early-voting sites or through the mail. About 443,600 ballots have been cast statewide.

Republicans are also winning the turnout battle, with about 17 percent of Republicans having cast a ballot so far compared with about 15 percent of Democrats, according to the figures released Monday.

In other words, in early voting, Tom Tancredo is winning. I only knew about this new poll after having of heard it from Tom Tancredo's mouth yesterday at a Meet & Greet I attended. No Denver media covered it. After I got home, I looked it up online.

Sorry, comPost/9Skews Axis, your glamor boy isn't doing nearly as well as you'd like us to think. Nice try, though. Polls that skewed are faked, period. Now we know why the poll didn't include information on methodology.

Urban vs Suburban Drunks

Denver bus stops are very interesting places to observe human behavior. It was from the Auraria Light Rail Station that I observed a couple drunken brothers (and their father who was sober and I think retired from heavy drinking)rambling about the Marines and their patriotism when it hit me: Urban drunks are not patriotic and they certainly never speak affectionately about the US govt or US military. These two brothers remind me of the few drunks I came across as a kid growing up in Littleton. They tended to ooze with patriotic sentiment and toast America frequently, especially on the 4th of July. Downtown Denver drunks, however, never utter such things. If they say anything about the United States, its negative, such as in my previous article.

Surely, noticing things like this means I've lived in this city waaaay too long.

Crack Dealers Take Over Neighborhood

I can't figure out if KMGH reporters are that ignorant or just trying to hype up a ho-hum story by concocting a crack dealer invasion?

Here's a shocker!

7NEWS obtained photos that show a deal in progress, and one of the users lighting up in broad daylight.

"I've seen my neighbors pushing a baby stroller down the street, and (the dealers) will come up and ask them if they want to buy drugs,” said the resident... “I’ve heard some punches before, but man I swear to god, this sounded like someone was breaking a board over this guy’s head. I turned and looked and he saw me and said, ‘you call the cops and you’re next.’”

Well, duh. Its nearly as easy to photograph drug deals in Crackitol Hill as it is to photograph feeding pigeons. They make it sound like they scored another Watergate. Nigga, please.

Of course local residents and possibly media will think the police are apathetic about it, but the truth is this is the norm in Crackitol Hill (including North Crackitol Hill, Shitty Park West, Shitty Park, and Sleazeman Park). The cops know, they are making an effort. However, they're simply overwhelmed. Junkies flock to this area like flies on fresh dog shit. Complaining to City Hall, of course, is a joke. Across the street from the City and County Building (where City Hall is located), junkies, homeless drunks and drug dealers run free, as they have been nearly unmolested for over 20 years running, acting as if Civic Center Park is theirs. Indeed, it is. Undercover cops have been working the East Colfuxx area forever, arresting dealers in droves. What simply happens is that when drug dealing activity concentrates in one area and the cops break it up, the dealers simply move to another spot a few blocks down. I've lived around downtown long enough to see it happen myself. Colfax and Pearl was once a hot spot and in the middle of the day I saw drug dealers discussing a deal behind a parked truck with an open duffle bag on the ground that the dealers were peering into while speaking. The old 7-11 at 13th and Pearl was a HUGE hotspot for drugs as employees of the store were dealing from inside the store itself. Consequently, the city closed down the store as a public nuisance and the dealing simply moved a few blocks down. Busting drug dealers is an endless and largely fruitless game of Whack-a-Mole. Until drug dealers, in my opinion, begin to be executed, they are going to view the risk of arrest worth the profits of dealing. Drug users are amoral slimebags as well (I call not caring if thousands of people being killed in cartel wars so the pot can make it to Denver amoral) and need to be dealt with harshly in their own right.

And in case you didn't know, most of the people who buy drugs here live here, and are not homeless derelicts wandering the streets. These dealers walk residential sidestreets and loiter on residential corners. Drug users, in my suspicion, intentionally flock here because this area is widely-known to be flush in narcotics.

Meet one of downtown Denver's charmers.

Billie Hollenbeck is accused of trying to set a bag of what initially appeared to be fertilizer on fire on July 28.

The bus driver told police he thought Hollenbeck was holding a bag of fertilizer. It turns out the bag was full of seeds.

RTD says the driver immediately kicked Hollenbeck off the bus and called 911.

Police didn't catch Hollenbeck until several days later when he was arrested on unrelated charges.

A Typical East Colfax Morning

I decided, in my sheer stupidity, to walk up to East Colfax to catch a 15 bus downtown. I was mildly entertained by the 2 discarded "HARDCORE" porno DVD packages on the sidewalk (which I should have gotten a picture of). Sitting near there on the sidewalk was an elderly couple, both likely drunk, I surmised to myself in passing. They eventually made their way over to near me to catch the same bus I caught, which is when the fun began. Watching them attempt to board the bus was when I realized to what an extreme degree that both of these two were absolutely trashed. The wife, somewhere in her mid to late 60s, had long dyed black hair and was trying to push her equally plastered husband who was wheel-chair bound up the small bus ramp into the bus. Of course, she utterly failed at the attempt and steered her husband (I'm assuming they're married) only partly onto the ramp of the bus, leaving one of his wheels hanging off the outer side of the ramp and entrapping him there. He begins swearing up a storm and begins tipping backward and the bottle of Coke on his lap begins spilling all over him, not that he noticed. At that point, rather exasperated, I reach out to catch his wheelchair because his wife was so drunk she was not only incapable of stopping his backward fall, but was herself having a very difficult time staying on her feet. She began stammering uncontrollably behind me (it seems that pushing the wheelchair was the only thing keeping her upright) and flailed wildly until finally falling flat over, emptying her pockets of dollar bills and coins in the process. Another passenger at the bus stop helped her try to stay on her feet which took another 2 or 3 attempts as the old lady kept flopping over on the sidewalk to the loud gasps of passengers on the bus. Eventually the guy realized that he had to hold on to the old lady because there was no way in hell she was going to stand on her own feet.

SO, finally, the drunken couple is on the bus. The old man in the wheelchair, who loudly and repeatedly identified himself as a disabled Vietnam veteran who "had his ass shot off" refused to let the driver buckle him in place ("I jumped out of planes in Vietnam, I can handle a fuckin' bus!") and also refused to wheel himself into the wheelchair area, preferring to sit in the middle of the aisle cussing everyone out around him: "I got my ass and legs shot off in Vietnam for this fuckin' worthless country and you assholes haven't done SHIT!" The only thing keeping him remotely in place was his one hand on the wheel of the chair and his wife's grip on the handles. He swayed back and forth on the bus like a ship on an angry sea cussing everyone out every foot of the way. "This fucking worthless country! I got my ass shot off and what have you done? NOTHING!"

Sooner than later, passengers nearby realized that rationalizing with this old coot was impossible, so they eventually lapsed into silence while he opened his vodka bottle and took a nip. After repeating his sorry lot in life (in which he has no ass or legs even though to me he appeared to have both) umpteen times nearly nonstop all the way into downtown while telling bus riders to get their "asses to Afghanistan, you fuckers," the driver loudly demanded he shut his mouth already with his swearing. Of course, he didn't like that so he bitched back and eventually all but quieted down as the driver was not backing down. I knew these two were going to be getting off before me and I strongly suspected I'd have to help the old man off again. I was right. At 15th and Curtis, they want off. The woman tries to drunkenly wheel the man toward the door (and she can't steer any straighter than she did last time) and wedged him sideways against the coin machine. He, realizing he's stuck, begins cussing her out with a vengeance. Exasperated, and wishing to end it all, I tell her I'll unwedge him so I grab his wheelchair handles and lift his chair into place, while he repeatedly mutters at me, "Thank you, brother" without bothering to see who was behind him. Somehow, the woman's purse gets itself wedged into one wheel so it stops rolling. Sick of the crap, I just lift the back end of the chair and use the front wheels to get his drunken ass off of the bus. I drop them on the sidewalk letting them figure out how to get the purse out of the wheel. To hell with that shit, good riddance.

Local Media Afraid to Call "Brother"Jeff a Racist

Now I know I just mentioned this quite recently about how the Denver comPost refuses to refer to Jeff Fard as anything other than a "community organizer." In my recent Kookfest article, I mentioned how Jeff Fard is whitewashed as a legitimate civic leader with no mention to his past or where his adopted surname comes from. Hint: Nation of Islam, Nation of Islam's founder AKA "Allah" or "God in Person" who taught that white people are Satan and were created in a laboratory by a mad black scientist named Yakub. Yes, yesterday the comPost struck again: our beloved generic community organizer had a peace march in which Bloods and Crips "united" as they shed a few tears about their plight in life, sort of admitted their shitty attitudes, and then went home to be Bloods and Crips.

Tell me again how if David Duke attended a march in Denver the local media wouldn't be referring to him as a former Grand Dragon of the KKK and what a controversial and racist past he has?

This is one of the myriad of reasons why I discarded my political and social liberalism. These people live on their knees with their lips pursed and have never met a (non-white) racist they didn't like or give a wide berth of deference to. Sickening. These people don't think, they feel.

IF the comPost had a single blithering ounce of integrity (which we know it does not), they'd at the least force this witch Susan Greene to apologize and correct her intentional propagandistic equivalency between legitimate immigrants and illegal aliens by referring to them both as "immigrants." This is a common attempt by the pro-amnesty lobby to promote illegal alien border hoppers (and identity thieves) as the same thing as real immigrants who came here legally and respect our laws rather than spitting at them and by extension, us. This article is nothing but a brazen attempt at pulling the wool over our eyes.

Come now, people. We know all you so-called journalists out there have these college degree thingies and you can't pass all those writing classes without knowing some definitions of pretty common words such as ILLEGAL and IMMIGRANT. The two are not the same, never have been, never will be. We would also assume that these bearers of college thingies would know to consult a dictionary of the English language if they are uncertain about anything. Thus, of course, to anyone who does not have their intellect dwelling deep within their anal cavities, it becomes quite obvious that blurring the line between an illegal alien and an immigrant is intentional. Greene intentionally AVOIDS any reference to the more than obvious illegality of the person she is speaking to (which she tells us is in "fear" of Tom Tancredo) in an attempt to undercut Tancredo by assassinating his character by making it look like regular legal immigrants have a reason to fear him. WHAT A LOAD!

And what would this poor, innocent "immigrant" Ms. Greene has whipped up tell Tom Tancredo? "I would tell him . . . 'With all respect, Mr. Tancredo, we are not your enemy.' " Oh? I didn't realize coming here illegally, spitting at our laws, stealing our identities and putting your kids on welfare was a gesture of friendship. Perhaps I should reconsider. D'oh!

Oh, so touching! On the front page of today's Denver comPost is such a heartwarming, tear-jerking photo! Too bad its a couple lunatics!

The Denver comPost gushed, "Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchu Tum performed a Mayan healing and blessing ceremony, evoking a vision of harmony that drew on the life-affirming teachings of her ancestors, the ancient Mayan people." Kissing her gently on the forehead is a "community organizer" known as "Brother Jeff" Fard. If "Brother Jeff" is a community organizer, so is David Duke. Jeff Fard, former member of the Nation of Islam, took up the name Fard in honor of the Nation of Islam's founder "Master" Wallace Fard Muhammad. Fard, otherwise known as "God in Person" in Nation of Islam literature, is believed to be the literal incarnation of God (or Allah) who came to earth to teach Elijah Muhammad about the evil white race of devils and the true identity of the specially-chosen race of blacks. Master Fard (pronounced Farrad), bless his divine self, taught that whites were created in a laboratory by a mad black scientist named Yakub and have been allowed to rule the earth for 6,000 years after which is followed divine punishment; namely, that Master Fard, in orbit in his mother ship UFO, will send "baby planes" down from this mother ship and drop atomic bombs into the earth which will destroy the white race. The prophet Moses tried to civilize the whites but gave up and tried to blow a bunch of them up with dynamite. No I'm not making this up, I used to be aquainted with a couple members of the NOI, one an assistant minister at the time, and I have read plenty of NOI literature. The white devils/UFO bombings appear in a book by Elijah Muhammad called Message to the Blackman in America, in a section called Devil. The creation of the white race story is here, and the judgment of whites here. As usual with the mainstream media, there is no end to the willingness to brush anti-white racism under the carpet and paint the perpetrators of it in such bullshit warm terms.

On to Rigoberta Menchu. Like a case of herpes, this woman won't go away. Some 20 years after she was exposed by New York Times investigative journalists as being a Communist propagandist who lied about herself and her family to promote her Marxist views against the Great Capitalist Pig (you can guess who that is), this woman keeps popping up in the media as a legitimate human rights figure as if she wasn't caught red-handed lying her ass off. The so-called memoir by the name of I, Rigoberta Menchu, was ghost-written by the wife of a French Marxist and passed off as Menchu's own autobiographical account. A piece by former Marxist David Horowitz called Rigoberta Menchu, Liar recounts the entire pathetic history of Menchu's hustle.

Auraria Campus Allows Nation of Islam Proselytizing

First a couple months ago while walking the Auraria Campus in front of the Auraria Library I spotted a Nation of Islam member, dressed in typical suit and bow tie common to the NOI's male members, hawking the NOI's newspaper, The Final Call. I noticed the lack of a negative response from the campus population in general, and couldn't help wonder if a white man hawking copies of David Duke's My Awakening or Jewish Supremacism on campus (heaven forbid while wearing white robes) would receive the same ho-hum acceptance. David Duke's books are "hate speech" which we are repeatedly berated (by those who have never actually read him) to avoid him and everything he's ever said, and to, by the way, hate him because they told us to and we can trust them and all that stuff. If this isn't enough typical hypocrisy, I today came across another (or the same?) NOI member INSIDE the Community College of Denver's South Classroom building carrying The Final Call in a displaying-for-sale fashion, proselytizing to a black woman. In passing, I heard him say something about, "the right-wing fascists" and wanted to laugh out loud. I then decided to turn around and take a picture with my cellphone camera. Where are the Klansmen in the halls of CCD? Perhaps I should start leafleting some David Duke around. The outcry would probably make the news.

BOULDER, Colo. -- The first call came in around 1 p.m., as Boulder police were told about a man dressed as a leprechaun doing weird things in grocery store parking lot.

When police arrived at the King Soopers at 30th Street and Arapahoe Avenue, they found the leprechaun had vanished.

"He was jumping between cars, using his finger like a gun and he was also flipping people off," Boulder police Sgt. Fred Gerhardt said.

Police treated the case as more of a welfare check, but at this point it appears they'll need a lot of luck to find him.

Denver Post Continues to Peddle Pro-Illegal Alien Mythology

Speak of the devil, in today's Denver comPost we have the long-haired hippy and 1970s fossil Mike Littwin yet again peddling a utopian view of illegal aliens with the long debunked canard that illegal aliens don't contribute to crime. How does he do this? By disingenously pointing to the lowering crime rates in Arizona as evidence. This is easily enough debunked; what really amazes me is that people actually can get and keep jobs with newspapers writing this kind of mythological crap. Quite sneakily, and undoubtedly to avoid complaints of bias, he cites a CATO Institute commentator by the name of Daniel Griswold who made the claim that crime overall in the country is down, including in Arizona in a very short and rather flaccid piece. First of all, the CATO Instutiute is known for its promotion of amnesty (any search of their website will bear this out). Littwin probably thought it would add weight to his argument to cite a CATO study instead of a similar one by, say, La Raza. Secondly, the CATO Institute picked this piece up from Commentary Magazine, where it was originally published. Commentary has been criticized as being not much more than an ethnocentric think tank publication published by neoconservative Jews which promotes Jewish interests the way La Raza promotes Mexican interests. Not exactly a publication of mass-appeal and not exactly one that a person should rely on for accurate information, either.

In reailty, there are plenty of government studies which talk about the massive dark side to illegal aliens which CATO, Commentary and Littwin are ignoring. Go figure. Maybe its because they all have an agenda? We are supposed to believe that the illegal alien explosion has nothing to do with the chronologically coinciding explosion of Mexican gangs from California to Washington, D.C. and even to Ontario, Canada? Indeed, this little factoid and others are missing entirely from the pleadings of the CATO institute and its ideological allies. Unknown to many is United States Government Accountability Office studies showing that

In our population study of 55,322 illegal aliens, we found that they were arrested at least a total of 459,614 times, averaging about 8 arrests per illegal alien. Nearly all had more than 1 arrest. Thirty-eight percent (about 21,000) had between 2 and 5 arrests, 32 percent (about 18,000) had between 6 and 10 arrests, and 26 percent (about 15,000) had 11 or more arrests. Most of the arrests occurred after 1990. They were arrested for a total of about 700,000 criminal offenses, averaging about 13 offenses per illegal alien. One arrest incident may include multiple offenses, a fact that explains why there are nearly one and half times more offenses than arrests. Almost all of these illegal aliens were arrested for more than 1 offense. Slightly more than half of the 55,322 illegal aliens had between 2 and 10 offenses. About 45 percent of all offenses were drug or immigration offenses. About 15 percent were property-related offenses such as burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and property damage. About 12 percent were for violent offenses such as murder, robbery, assault, and sex-related crimes. The balance was for such other offenses as traffic violations, including driving under the influence; fraud--including forgery and counterfeiting; weapons violations; and obstruction of justice. Eighty percent of all arrests occurred in three states--California, Texas, and Arizona. Specifically, about 58 percent of all arrests occurred in California, 14 percent in Texas, and 8 percent in Arizona.

What does the epicenter of this argument - Arizona - have to say about this? The Maricopa County DA released some data of their own as well, which said in part,

County Attorney Andrew Thomas released today the results of research by his office showing the illegal immigrant crisis is having a profound impact on crime. An analysis of all defendants sentenced for felonies in 2007 in Maricopa County Superior Court shows 18.7% to be in the United States illegally. Factoring in a random sample of those whose immigration status was initially unknown and later determined to be illegal, the study finds that the number rises to 21.8%. By comparison, illegal immigrants constitute an estimated 9% of the total population.

The analysis found that in 2007, illegal immigrants accounted for:

- 16.5% of those sentenced for violent crimes
- 18.5 % of those sentenced for property crimes
- 33.5% of those sentenced for the manufacture, sale, or transport of drugs
- 50% of those sentenced for crimes related to "chop shops"
- 35.8% of those sentenced for kidnapping
- 20.3% of those sentenced for felony DUI.

Likewise, for crimes more generally associated with illegal immigration, illegal immigrants accounted for:

- 44% of those sentenced for forgery and fraud
- 85.3% of those convicted of criminal impersonation for false ID
- 96% of those convicted for human smuggling.

It is estimated that each violent crime costs citizens about $20,000, and each property crime costs citizens $4,363 per offense.

Crime may be down overall, but that is no reason to think that illegal aliens aren't causing a huge crime problem in this country. To argue this is a logical fallacy at best, and dishonest at worst.

In another one of Littwin's race card arguments (lifted from Griswold), he attacks detractors of amnesty such as Tom Tancredo and Lou Dobbs for warning about the threat of multiculturalism endangering American culture by cutely comparing it to Italian immigration in the late 20th century as if its remotely similar. Hint: Italians assimilated, came legally, and in much smaller numbers. Mexicans, many millions who have given the finger to American law (and Americans by extension) by coming here illegally, have no intention to assimilate, hence the birth of the term "multiculturalism." It's not a hard conclusion to come to: millions of unassimilable, indeed often outright hostile, Mexican flag waving Mexicans settle here and eventually gain the demographic majority. Who in their right mind would think these people would remotely care about the Founding Fathers and the intentions they had for this nation, let alone the European-originated culture it has always held since its inception? The majority of Mexican activists have done nothing but thumb their noses at this country. Mexico intelligently partly bases its immigration policy on not upsetting the demographic balance. Why don't we have the common sense to bring back our own version of this law?

Littwin's blindness must be voluntary; do liberals go through a process of poking their eyes out or something? His cutesy tie-in, upon closer analysis, falls flat. Welcome to Mejico Norte.
Please, Littwin, find better sources for your silly arguments.

The amnesty of 1986 granted 3 million illegal aliens instantaneous legal status. As a result of that, illegal migration was encouraged and ballooned to where we are now burdened with 12 million illegal aliens, a four-fold increase in migration. It is then safe to estimate that any kind of amnesty or euphemistically titled legalization scheme will take the 12 million illegals here now and blow it up another four-fold in the coming years, leaving us with a rounded off total of FIFTY MILLION ILLEGAL ALIENS. This country will collapse under the weight, you can bet on it.

America's Immigration Problem Solved: Let's Copy Mexico's Immigration Law

Surely you've heard repeatedly on television, especially, how "racist" Americans are who want immigration law enforced are. We are told that we are not just "racist," but also, "xenophobes," "nativists," and generally "bigots." Mexican ethnic activist groups such as La Raza (literally translated "The Race" in Spanish, even though Mexicans are not a race and hypothetical discrimination against them would not be "racism") who have been allying with American (and I use the term loosely) organizations such as the ADL along with numerous Catholic organizations and other stateside ethnic interest and business lobbies to pry the American borders open like a hooker's legs have made the race card a favored weapon in their arsenal.

Never mind that the US already has grossly liberal immigration policy, they want it even more liberal; in fact, they basically don't want us to have a border at all. Mexicans, we are told, are "indigenous" to this area and that we "stole" their land from them. I for one, would like to know how the colonial land claims of a country established by white colonial rulers (and indeed still ruled by them 500 years down the road) have any more of a claim to land than another country established by white colonial rulers has? Every time I ask an amnesty proponent this question (as invariably the idiots throw out the "you stole it" canard), I never get a coherent answer. Indeed, I usually get the narrow batch of slurs as I've already mentioned above. Mexico was never any more accepting of or catering to the desires of the Indian groups occupying the American Southwest than the US Calvary was; in fact, Mexico made it a point of calling on the US government to send military forces to help them fend off Ute raids from their settlements in what is now Colorado's San Luis Valley, where Utes were known to kidnap and enslave Mexican children. So much for a "unida raza." Reconquista sentiment is built around a gamut of myths and historical distortions so numerous as to boggle the mind. In the end of course, its all just a ruse and a feel-good justification for millions of failed, impoverished poeople to leave their failed, impoverished country and venture to a better-run country for decent living conditions while saving face in the process.

The blatantly racist double standard to which pro-amnesty Mexicans and their backers are peddling in the US is especially stark when considering that Mexico's own immigration laws are extremely strict; so strict, in fact, that the US would do well for itself in adopting them. This would not only control our illegal alien problem but completely disarm race card playing Mexicans at the same time. To summarize Mexico's General Law on Population it ensures that

- immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor
- foreign visitors do not violate their visa status
- foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country's internal politics
- foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported
- foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported
- those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison

Foreigners are admitted into Mexico "according to their possibilities of contributing to national progress." (Article 32)

Immigration officials must "ensure" that "immigrants will be useful elements for the country and that they have the necessary funds for their sustenance" and for their dependents. (Article 34)

Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets "the equilibrium of the national demographics," when foreigners are deemed detrimental to "economic or national interests," when they do not behave like good citizens in their own country, when they have broken Mexican laws, and when "they are not found to be physically or mentally healthy." (Article 37)

The Secretary of Governance may "suspend or prohibit the admission of foreigners when he determines it to be in the national interest." (Article 38)

Local police departments must assist - not hinder like American ones selectively do - in the enforcement of these laws :

Federal, local and municipal police must cooperate with federal immigration authorities upon request, i.e., to assist in the arrests of illegal immigrants. (Article 73)

and, that

A National Population Registry keeps track of "every single individual who comprises the population of the country," and verifies each individual's identity. (Articles 85 and 86)

A national Catalog of Foreigners tracks foreign tourists and immigrants (Article 87), and assigns each individual with a unique tracking number (Article 91)

Foreigners with fake immigration papers may be fined or imprisoned. (Article 116)

Foreigners who sign government documents "with a signature that is false or different from that which he normally uses" are subject to fine and imprisonment. (Article 116)

Foreigners who fail to obey a deportation order are to be punished. (Article 117)

Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country without authorization can be imprisoned for up to 10 years. (Article 118)

Foreigners who violate the terms of their visa may be sentenced to up to six years in prison (Articles 119, 120 and 121). Foreigners who misrepresent the terms of their visa while in Mexico -- such as working with out a permit -- can also be imprisoned.

"A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally." (Article 123)

Foreigners with legal immigration problems may be deported from Mexico instead of being imprisoned. (Article 125)

Foreigners who "attempt against national sovereignty or security" will be deported. (Article 126)

A Mexican who marries a foreigner with the sole objective of helping the foreigner live in the country is subject to up to five years in prison. (Article 127)

Shipping and airline companies that bring undocumented foreigners into Mexico will be fined. (Article 132)

DPS Administration Needs to Be Fired In Toto

Tom Boasberg, the new DPS superintendent, along with his fellow administrators, are pushing a political agenda with taxpayer dollars under the guise of protecting DPS workers from "racial profiling." Unless it's a habit of Denver Public Schools to send their people across state lines in a pickup truck with 30 DPS workers hanging out of the back of it or otherwise engage in suspicious behaviors, the claim that there is a risk of being "profiled" is completely in their heads, and hence DPS administration is taking it upon themselves to push a political agenda with city dollars.

Worse, Boasberg makes a fraudulent claim that "the community" has his back and is "deeply outraged." Oh? Who did he ask? Himself and his cronies? Channel 7 posted an article about this DPS boycott and included a reader poll asking if DPS was in the right or wrong, and it would seem that the community doesn't have Boasberg's back at all.

Boasberg and his liberal DPS allies are the same ones letting Mexican kids cut school to protest at immigration rallies. Specifically kids from predominantly Mexican West and North high schools keep showing up marching against every move legislators make to control the border. Wonder who is cheering them on and empowering them? Look no further than Boasberg.

If Boasberg & Co. were pushing an anti-amnesty agenda with city funds and trucking in bus loads of white kids out of white schools to protest amnesty sentiments, you can bet all hell would break loose.

Denver comPost's Rampant Bias Problem

If the comPost isn't hurling its biases around in articles by the likes of Mike Littwin (Obama zombie blame-whitey moonbat,) Tina Griego (sappy pro-illegal alien, race-baiting prose writing moonbat), and Susan Greene (neurotically liberal Jewish moonbat who can only find bias if it comes in a white, Christian package), its busy applying the same kind of biases on its forums against people who say things against the liberal party line that the comPost is dedicated to parroting. Today was the third time since January that I have been issued a "board warning" for posts which were then deleted, always because I said something to infuriate the liberal readership and moderators of the forum. I was told that "racist comments, veiled or otherwise, are a violation of forum rules." I actually expected this response and went ahead and posted anyway to make a point.

I drew an intentional comparison in media coverage between the pro-illegal alien rallies and the Tea Party rallies and struck a nerve. I applied the language of the media in their vitriolic descriptions of Tea Partiers to amnesty protesters, and came up with this:

Its funny when the media admit and refuse to condemn Latinos voting in racial blocs. Clearly the only time that racial-bloc voting is a no-no is with the fairer race. The MSM has been going viral lately at the hues of protesters at Tea Party rallies, frequently making stereotypical comments like, "All those white faces, whew, kind of looks like a Nazi rally, doesn't it?!" Yet, alas, when non-whites show up in numbers to pursue something obviously in their racial interests, we don't hear condemantions. Why is that? Where are the comments saying things like, "Wow, look at all those Mexicans. I haven't seen this many since I toured San Quentin," or, "Last time I saw this many dark faces was when I drove by the Five Points foodstamp office," or how about this dinger: "Now I undertstand what it must have been like at the Alamo!" How about at least something like, "Notice all those brown faces? That means that their cause is not widely accepted by a variety of Americans but rather pertains only to the narrow prejudices of their race."

What is with the anti-white double standard, Denver com-Post?

I got a nice six thumbs-up votes from readers before board admins issued a "board warning" for my "racism." I responded and thanked them for their cooperation in proving my point.

Ignoramous Suburbanitus is an epidemic disease. Unfortunately it's usually not discovered until the victim is hit on the head with reality after spending a childhood and early adulthood in a nice, quiet, demographically homogenous suburb. For such people, the city of Denver is a bag of surprises. This guy got his ass gang-attacked in front of his kids for opening his mouth in a ghetto dispute. That the race of the perpetrators wasn't published almost always means it was those of a swarthier persuasion. People such as that are media darlings and the media expend no small amount of energy covering their backs. Besides, its Five Points. HELLO.

Some guy from Arvada has been taking his kids to some skate park built recently during the era of ghetto gentrification. Sorry, dude, but locals know better. Crime-ridden, economically depressed areas are those that are targeted for gentrification. Gentrification means high crime inner city, which is why the areas are depressed to begin with. Crime and econmic destitution go hand in hand. It's a basic fact. Get used to it. In fact, people with half a brain should turn and run from gentrified places, unless they like paying top-notch prices for Crips, homeless people with lice, and heroin addicts shooting up in every other doorway.

More than enough has come out in the media (and this blog) about the crime problems these liberal do-gooders are encountering in the Five Points/Lower Downtown areas to give someone pause. If you don't know by now, you aren't paying attention.

Things Go Better with Pot Heads - NOT!

I was actually banned from the city-data.com forums last year for having the audacity to assert that the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Denver is full of potheads.

I have a very difficult time believing that anyone who has lived in either Capitol Hill or it's neighboring areas of North Capitol Hill, City Park West, and Cheesman Park have a hard time believing that this area of town is full of pot heads. I can give a couple of perfect examples:

Very recently a man living near me had the police called on him because he was having some kind of bizarre fit, screaming incoherently and throwing things against the walls in his apartment. After upwards of an hour of this, police arrived and he was arrested for acting belligerently and resisting. He refused to open his door and give the police his name. That meant that when the door was finally opened, the police did an around-the-neck grip, dragged him out of his apartment by his neck and slammed him against the wall. The cops inspected the apartment exclaimed that he "broke everything" and even punched a couple holes in the walls. Why? His roommate would not buy him marijuana. This pothead has not been heard from since he was taken to jail and all of the broken things from the apartment were thrown outside upon eviction.

Another example circa 1988:

I had the fortune of having an eccentric man approximately 50 years old living across the hall from me. I think he was a Buddhist or something, I could sometimes hear bizarre religious-like chanting coming from his door. After some months of living by him I noticed a pattern in his behavior. Off and on he would have these odd fits, beating walls, breaking things, stomping and yelling. Shortly following that, the smell of some kind of marijuana would emanate from his apartment for several days nearly nonstop during which time he was placid and quiet. This repeated cyclically for months on end. In time, I noticed he would thrash around his apartment in rage for a time, then storm out of his apartment in utter anger, banging the door shut. He'd return about 15 minutes later holding a plain white package. Give him another five minutes and the smell of burning weed was strong, and his anger subsided, his rants ceased, his apartment quiet. I couldn't figure out where the soothing mystery packages were coming from until one day I was outside down the street and happened to see him emerge from the check cashing joint at East Colfax and Vine Streets, carrying a non-descript plain white box. There were rental mailboxes in that business. Someone was actually using the mail system to send this guy weed.

Ah, Denver.

Why is Northeast Park Hill Still a Dump?

Expending much energy citing "economic racism," it's common for leftist activists to cry about how businesses do not often establish themselves in the black community. Crying racism is the usual band-aid excuse to avoid a deeper look at the real reasons of what is going on. The nationwide pattern of crime-blighted black communities plays out in Denver, Colorado as well. Why? Because anywhere blacks settle in numbers, crime escalates and gangs are always present. Neither of these are conducive to business growth. Indeed, the only economic growth the Northeast Park Hill Area has seen in decades is the redevelopment of the land of the former Stapleton International Airport, and even this had to be done with a massive infusion of public dollars because the area is so gross that nobody wanted to touch it with a ten-foot pole. Results at Stapleton are mixed, and I have a sneaking suspicion that most of the whites who have moved in this area are relocated out-of-staters (much like you see around the former Rocky Flats nuclear weapons plant) because locals know better than to go anywhere near the place. More on Stapleton later, for now we'll focus on Northeast Park Hill.

The "jewel" of Northeast Park Hill was a strip-mall style shopping center which was once probably decades ago a thriving economic center with room for a full-sized grocery store as an anchor. By 1990, when I first began taking the bus through there on the way to work near the old airport, however, the shopping center, Holly Square, was already a decrepit dump with few tenants. The back wall of the Square always seemed to be coated in gang graffiti, Crips and Bloods taunting each other back and forth. In the late 1990s, the "anchor" of the mall, as it were, was the local Nation of Islam mosque #51 with it's adjoining NOI-owned seafood restaurant. Old gang graffiti would be painted over only to be sprayed on again within a short time. The eastern side of the Holly Square lot featured an electronic switch box of some kind adorned with Crip death threats toward neighborhood Blood gang members in prominent blue paint.

In spite of this, the city kept pushing to develop the Holly Square. Some time in the 2000s, how I do not know but probably with government funding of some sort, Holly Square was quite extensively remodeled and updated. Efforts were made to bring in a few small local businesses, and things seemed okay. One problem. Holly Square was a longtime Bloods gang hangout and when the founder of the Rollin 30s Crips was gunned down by the Bloods, it didn't take long for the Crips to decide that a good way of exacting revenge was to burn down the favored hangout of the Bloods.. So, early one morning...

The Crip arsonists, being the intelligent lot they are, not only sloppily torched Holly Square but did it so that a nearby security camera caught the whole thing. I'm sure the Denver Police enjoyed watching as "one of the Molotov cocktails rolled off the roof and hit the head of the person who threw it, causing his head to catch fire." Being even stupider, they drove a truck full of molotov cocktail-making materials with a broken tail light away from the scene and were shortly pulled over for a broken light violation and very quickly found themselves in jail and charged with arson. Imagine the scene. A couple white gangs in Denver intiate new members by sending them to downtown Denver where they are told to selectively beat, attack, and rob people of black or hispanic origin who are known to have popular social spots in certain sections of the downtown Denver area. The Denver police, DA's office and even the FBI participate in creating a task force to stop these racial crimes. In the end, 35 arrest warrants are issued. The moment the police department holds its first press conference about having made 32 arrests the day before in this racist hate crime spree, media nationwide - no, worldwide - catch on and the story goes viral. All major US networks and nationally-read newspapers immediately catch the story and run with it much as they did with the Duke University gang-rape allegation. Civil and human rights leaders appear and gather before microphones hurling moralistic invective at racists everywhere. The name "Denver 35" is coined. Headlines are streaked with the shocking revelations about a white racist gang attacking people and the talking heads babble about the continued problem with racism and white supremacism in this country has and how can this still be going on, etc., etc., etc...

Everything in the above paragraph happened except the races of the attackers and victims were reversed the national media coverage never manifested. Why did this story which is obviously huge in scope - in fact the largest hate crime spree in Denver history - not get a single drop of national media coverage? Why, indeed? Why, worse, did many, including myself, predict this would happen? Because the victims of this racial crime spree were white and the perpetrators were black. Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrisey stated that young white males were specifically singled out. One white woman was sexually assaulted (while being told that white women want it) and injuries to some white male victims included a broken jaw, a broken eye socket, a skull fracture and coma as well as another man being thrown through a plate glass window.

The same national media who chose to pick up on the Duke University scam and run with it like a quarterback on steroids are the same people who to a man ignored this story. Isn't that something? I kept hoping for just a bit of coverage.. Something. Anything. I kept looking at CNN, MSNBC, and even FoxNews, the so-called white racist network. Not a peep. The day following the police press conference. Nothing.

If this does not illustrate the anti-white bias of the modern politically correct walk-on-eggshells climate in this country, what does? "Anti-racist" my ass.

Jeff Peckman, a self-described entrepreneur who at the age of 55 still lives with mommy and who came up with a fake UFO video made with some kind of sock puppet that moves like a human arm in an obvious cheap media stunt to sell DVDs has collected enough signatures to get another one of his trash initiatives onto Denver ballots in the next election. He collected 10,000 signatures (only 4,211 of the names turned out to be acceptable) to place his kooky idea to force the city of Denver to create a UFO commission for the purpose of gathering evidence that space aliens have been visiting the earth.

Perhaps Richard Heene has been hanging out with this guy. Why are they attracted to Colorado?

I can’t help but ask (if I haven’t already?) what the hell is wrong with liberals? This city has a mayor who since day one of his occupancy of the mayor’s office has made it his personal crusade to “end homelessness in Denver.” Unless you’re 5 years old or such a blinded Utopian, anyone with half a brain knows there is no such thing. You would assume, and usually correctly so, that such bubbly nonsense would just be some warm-fuzzy political slogan. But oh, no. This guy is serious, and he’s trying to do it largely with public tax dollars.

Does it matter that we’re in a recession, that nearly 200 Denver city employees have been laid off, others required furlough time, cutting pay raises for city hospital workers, postponing raises for cops and budget cuts that affect city libraries? Nope! Somehow, magically, this Utopian bobblehead has declared that the city can afford over two million samoleons to house derelicts who already flock to Denver in large numbers even from out of state because they heard on the grapevine about the services offered to the homeless in the downtown Denver area, hence the pigeon comment.

What happens when you try to take a small amount of food and feed a few pigeons?

Downtown Denver McDonald's restaurants are a magnet for the barrel scrapings of society. If its not the homeboys speaking in excessively loud voices while making grandiose hand gestures and mixing "yo yo baby" into their narrative while they chew their fries with open mouths and simultaneously rap, then its winos who will either buy a small coffee or a dollar burger and act as if that entitles them to loiter for the next 4 hours and stink up the place, or its winos sneaking into the restaurant and sitting in the back trying to go unnoticed since they haven't bought anything and want to loiter for hours and stink up the place. Tonight, however, I experienced something a little different: The hungry drug addict.

Alcoholics and drug addicts will spend as little money on food as is possible, consequently they'll either depend on food lines or food theft. Entering McDonald's right after me was an unsavory couple, loud, obnoxious, and demanding. The female of the pair, an American of Mexican origin who spoke unaccented, perfect American English with semi-scraggly hair and prominent blubber-like lips -- especially the lower one which both portruded and hung downward as if an invisible weight was hanging from it -- plunked down an extremely wrinkled McDonald's bag on the countertop (cutting in front of me) and immediately and loudly demanded to speak to the manager. When he came over, the woman angrily said that she was given "frozen fries" and "a flat soda" and plunked down an empty drink cup on the counter. Loud "I can't believe this" and "what kind of place is this" followed from her mouth. The manager said they don't give people frozen fries which only caused her to be even louder. If that wasn't bad enough her idiot boyfriend began chiming in, louder than her. Putting on a lame act of pretending to be Mexican, this blonde-haired, blue-eyed pale face began speaking bits of Spanish like, "Papas, mi papas... No salt.. Si, mon!!" and, "I no speak good Eeeenglish." He would look down at his blubber-lipped love and speak a few more words of Spanish as if we were supposed to think this guy was actually a Mexican. In a quieter, yet still very audible voices, the two conversed in perfect American English between the outbursts "papas" and "si, mon!!" which got the Mexican employees laughing. At that point the manager got sick of the crap and offered a refund and then gave them a free meal. The two finally shut up and began speaking to each other in more perfect American English. Clearly this blonde moron has had enough experience with Mexicans to know that one game they enjoy playing is pretending they don't understand Gringo to get out of trouble. Too bad his pale face, blonde hair and blue eyes give him away, the idiot. You can't expect drug-addled refuse to think things through, though; after all, they got what they wanted. Free food. Either one ate the food and the other came for free seconds or they found a discarded bag outside and cashed in.

This, by the way, happened less than an hour before closing so a Denver CARES paddy wagon for drunkards had pulled up and was rounding up the drunken homeless loiterers in the restaurant and piling them inside the van for an overnight trip to detox.

At the same restaurant some years ago, I had a black guy in front of me who ordered only a sandwich. He was given the sandwich, then lingered a moment, then grabbed a straw, stuck it in a drink intended for someone with me and walked out with it, slurping.

In the summer of 2007, several hundred volunteers worked to give Manual High School a face lift and ready it for re-opening. Manual High School is in a predominantly black and Mexican neighborhood with very few white residents. However, the bulk of the volunteers that worked on this school were whites. Locals are too apathetic (or perhaps possess a strong sense of entitlement which relinquishes them of personal responsibility) to pitch in to care for a school their own children attend, while they at the same time complain about the school system and poor results.

DIA's Baggage Boondoggle Still Haunting City

As recently as January, 2008, the city of Denver is still throwing money into the DIA baggage system money pit which has haunted local politicians for some 15 years, and it is still wringing its hands over installation of a permanent baggage system.

Quotes from the Rocky Mountain News' story of January 12, 2008:

The system, once touted as the most advanced in the world, had problems from the start and never worked as intended. Officials planned it as the main system to serve all airlines at DIA, but United was the only carrier that used it and then only for outbound luggage.

It was one of the reasons DIA opened 16 months behind schedule and almost $2 billion over budget. Some estimates say the system's price tag has stretched to $700 million, compared with initial projections of $250 million. The airport doesn't have exact figures but has said it will compile that data for council members.

United stopped using it in 2005 and reverted to a manual process. The airport then struck a deal to pay off $110 million that United owed on the system.

DIA is now laying plans to install a new baggage system in coming years, one that will use more conventional technology and methods.

Even to this day, the old baggage system haunts Denver.

"The news keeps getting worse," Councilman Charlie Brown said at a recent City Council meeting, referring to the fact that DIA will have to spend more money to remove part of the system. "I mean, we can't get away from this baggage system. This is unbelievable."

Back in 1994 or so when DIA was not yet open and the city of Denver was already in damage-control mode, free public tours were offered of the airport and I was one who pounced on the opportunity to wander the place. In one of the concourses, I noticed that some signage was wrong and pointed toward things that weren't there, but the most entertaining part of that day was when in the terminal I came across the baggage test area in what is now the Frontier Airlines check-in counters. The area in front of the counter was a literal graveyard of baggage; mangled bags, torn, missing sides, wheels either torn off completely or partly ripped off, belongings such as clothing, blenders, and hair dryers lying either loose or sticking out of mangled bags, most bags were either barely holding together and those that were not were duct taped shut. Some suitcases missed zippered tops that were either a few feet away or nowhere visible at all. Some bags even had dark skid marks on them. Few bags showed no damage at all. If only I'd have taken a camera, what delights I could have recorded! About 30 of us viewed the scene, alternately laughing and shaking our heads.

Every negative story about DIA is met with a combination of denials and lies by the City and County of Denver and the nearly complete rosy-eyed journalistic ramblings of the local Denver media. One of the silly ways to offset negative news about DIA is the creation of DIA's own YouTube channel featuring videos with raving reviews about the airport, such as this one:

There are so many things about this video that any Denver resident, especially one with a memory longer than a beer commercial, could knock down in 2 seconds. The "eco-friendly" hype is mythological in the extreme; how can an airport with such a stupid fabric roof on it's terminal be heated in freezing winter temperatures such as we saw in late 2008 when the airport hit as low as -19 degrees? Imagine the energy required to keep everyone and everything under the circus tent from freezing solid!

Since the city smartly built the airport on a convergence zone, which is where warm air masses from the plains collide with cooler ones coming off the Rocky Mountains, the airport area is noted for its meteorological instability and proneness to severe thunderstorms with tornadic activity. More than once DIA has had to shut down temporarily during tornado warnings and passengers are told to hide in airport bathrooms which double as tornado shelters. Eventually, you can bet, the airport itself will be hit by a tornado. Its only a matter of time.

The airport itself was built by construction companies and financiers with close ties to local political elites; excessive prices were paid for land to people with similar connections who snatched up tracts in a hurry and made a killing; delay after delay in opening the airport due to the shoddy animated baggage system sent airport bonds spiraling into near junk bond status, and grossly high operating fees collapsed several local airlines and sent others packing, leaving United Airlines a monopoly (Denver is the largest UAL hub outside Chicago) which sent air fares skyrocketing in a city whose former airport (Stapleton International) was known for affordability and frequent "air fare wars" between carriers. Only in the past few years has Southwest Airlines been willing to fly out of DIA, after having barred the airport from its routes since the airport's debut. Continental Airlines had a hub at the old airport, but not at DIA, and that has kept fares higher.

If anyone is familiar with the way the City and County of Denver is operated in terms of its emergency and medical services, you'll know that the city are cheapskates of the highest order. Consequently, the city refuses to furnish DIA and surrounding environs with local ambulance service, instead preferring to send ambulances from the city-owned ghetto hospital just south of downtown, which is a whopping 26 miles from the airport. Consequently, after the crash of Contiental 1404, the first ambulance did not reach the scene until 33 minutes after the crash happened, and it was sent code 10, that is, non-emergency! The second ambulance arrived seven minutes after that. Generally speaking, the farther you are from downtown Denver, the shittier your ambulance service will be. You'd think with the 4th busiest airport in the US that the city would have the brains and decency to station at least a small fleet of ambulances in the DIA area, but no! Under much pressure after this crash, the city has apparently kindly stationed ONE ambulance at the airport, for use only in aircraft emergencies, leaving people in the airport itself to die, literally, as has already happened. Today a half-hour long investigative documentary aired on KMGH channel 7 titled, "33 Minutes to 34-Right." The city has previously denied repeated complaints about airport-area service and insisted that its service to DIA is "excellent." Just how stupid do they think we are? Very, apparently, and with good reason: Rocky Flats officials have flip-flopped and fed us pure quality horse shit for decades and people are still willing to live near that cursed land.

Usually the deranged that herd onto the Rough, Tough and Dangerous tend to prefer merely brandishing their weapons than actually using them. Some are just happy to talk about their weapons and the gangbangers they associate with. Of course, certain routes are more heavily populated with 2-legged cockroaches than others, namely the 15, 31, 16, 30, 7, 28, 38, 44, and 43. The Denver area has a large number of public transportation routes. Good news for working people. Bad news for people who move into nicer areas where bus routes bring garbage from downtown and its environs.

Cameras have been put on most buses due to incidents like this (including the one where a passenger boarded the bus, got into an altercation with a driver, threw the driver head-first out of the bus and onto the curb and killed him). The older Gillig buses still are left without cameras, and RTD has been foolishly using those buses on routes popular with Mexican gangbangers, such as the 31 and 30.

Denver man shot dead after he complains about loud music

I've never heard so much loud music in my life in apartment buildings since I've lived in the city of Denver. In fact, within 2 weeks of first moving into the city I was left with no option but to call police because a stoned neighbor upstairs would listen to very loud music while toking up on a nightly basis. He got it into his head to ignore the police shouting and banging on his door, so the officers went around outside and boosted each other up into his living room window and turned the music off themselves. The loud lecture that followed was a real hoot.

By experience, I've learned that there is a rule of thumb that chronically loud music is played by certain types of people:

1) Stoners

2) Drug dealers

3) Stoners who deal drugs

In the case of the teen who shot the complainant, he was probably a drug dealing stoner.

Another rule of thumb I've learned by experience: Buildings with lots of noise issues have generally higher incidences of crime as well. Clean out the stoners and the drug dealers, and your building is not only quieter, but safer and cleaner. If you are unfortunate enough to live under literal slum lords like I have, you'll notice that lax enforcement of noise rules tends to go hand-in-hand with increased criminality in the building and generally run-down condition. Its as if street thugs, winos, crack whores, illegal aliens and drug smugglers have antennae which lead them to rent units in buildings where management is lax or non-existent. Perhaps there is an underground rental directory where slum lords and rock hoes link up.

Stiff Found in Barrel in Da Hood

Headline reads, "Body Found In Barrel In LoDo."

Along with Curtis Park, LoDo is another eupemistic reference to the southern end of what is geographically Five Points. Five Points' southern boundary begins at 20th Street and goes northward. It is not LoDo. Five Points has such a long and notorious history of criminal activity that anyone remotely familiar with the city of Denver wouldn't touch Five Points with a 10 foot pole. Quite a problemo. Easy solution! Euphemistically call the southern part of Five Points "LoDo" and the northern part "Curtis Park!" Voila! Just avoid the F word.

It began being called LoDo when Coors Field was built as a way of not scaring off baseball fans and developers. The media even admitted as much; there had to be a complete neighborhood image overhaul. Coors Field was built at 20th and Blake in area which at the time was literally overridden with human trash. The area was home to many homeless camp sites and when breaking ground for the stadium, at least 1 murdered body was found on the land. Now the area around Coors Field is full of yuppie bars instead of ghetto bars. Ah, progress!

23rd Street, renamed some years ago to Park Avenue West (again, to spiff up the reputation), continues to be the epicenter of drug activity so intense that heroin addicts are passed out on sidewalks like flocks of sleeping pigeons. The area is also home of numerous homeless shelters and slum bars. Stiffs being found in this area are like America and apple pie. The only real improvement in the area in the last 30 years is the absence of race riots and Black Panther Party standoffs with police. Its a street where if one must travel it, he will do so with his windows rolled up. No shocker to anyone familiar with the area that a stiff was found at 22nd and Lawrence.

Of course, the historical character of the area rears its ugly old head, such as the time several years ago when gangs of blacks were attacking and robbing white people in their automobiles at stoplights as what was suspected were gang initiations. More recently, as I've blogged about, there have been problems with Mexican gangbangers lighting the place up with gunfire. Five Points and Lower Downtown are like a flood plain; you can build pretty things there but eventually nature will come along and reclaim it.

UPDATE: Barrel man sentenced to life after court dismisses insanity plea.

Clewis-Green has said Pardue had sex with him for $10 in his apartment. Prosecutors say that when she asked for her money, he backhanded her in the face and beat her with a lead pipe.

Clewis-Green told police the beating happened after he killed his cat and liked the feeling.

Five Points Weenie Vendor's Killer Arrested

This genius, who first beat and then shot to death a hot dog vendor known to peddle weenies and chili around the Five Points (euphemistically called Curtis Park) foodstamp office and city-owned low income health clinic, was finally caught huddling in a closet in Georgia trying to hide from The Man.

For some odd reason in television bits about this story, local residents expressed shock that something like this would happen in that neighborhood, as if it's not obvious by looking at the place. Loitering, unemployed adult males and brood-mares swarm the area like a Roach Motel. I guess the Trey Trey Crip graffiti all over the area doesn't signal trouble to some people and they need to be struck in the head with a brick. D'oh.

MSNBC & Al Sharpton Bullhorned by Alex Jones at DNC

Quite accidentally, while heading to Union Station to catch a light rail train to Invesco Field on the 4th and final day of the Democratic National Convention, I happened upon the outdoor 2-story MSNBC broadcasting booth. Noticing a gathered crowd with some rather agitated (and swearing) onlookers, I was drawn across the Wewatta Street to take a closer look. There was goofball Alex Jones of infowars.com and prisonplanet.com fame with a small entourage of early 20-somethings holding signs that proclaimed "9-11 was an inside job." Jones was bullhorning the hell out of the live broadcast on the 2nd story of the MSNBC booth. I had no idea at the time who was broadcasting from the upper floor, until after I got home and looked at my pictures. I recognized Al Sharpton's head sticking out next to interviewer David Gregory. Good work, Alex! Its hard to think of anyone more deserving of being bullhorned than shakedown shyster Al Sharpton. Someone on YouTube clipped and published the MSNBC broadcast during the time period I was there photographing. Good times. Hopefully Jones bullhorned Obamagasmeister Keith Olbermann also.

Earlier the same day, Jones also bullhorned Obamabot Chris Matthews (I know it was the same day because of the red-haired guy in the bright orange #44 shirt that appeared in some of my day 4 photos.)

The crowd was quite irritated with Jones' bullhorn racket. He was pelted with insults most of the time he was there. His chants of "Google Inside Job" were met with "Google a brain," "Google a life," and sporadic chants of, "O-ba-ma!" Sometime after I left, some Obamabots ganged up on Jones and smashed his bullhorn. I have photographs of his entourage with a spare bullhorn, no idea why they didn't use it, and also no idea why the 11 police officers nearby didn't intervene.

Final Update: Invesco Field "Open House" Hoax

On Thursday the 28th of August, the "historic" day of the Barack Obama speech at Invesco Field (NOT "Mile High Stadium" as Obama and MSNBC kept calling it) I made my way to the stadium with the herds of ticketholers and press and was absolutely unsurprised by what I saw. Not a single anti-Obama or pro-McCain tshirt or button. Strange considering that "everyone" was welcome at a "first come, first serve" event. On top of this, during the speech itself, not a single heckler or boo could be heard. The media will never touch this one, of course, but it's still worth noting that this open house myth is arguably the largest hoax of the 2008 election season. For someone who keeps repudiating the claims of being a media darling, Barack Obama was perfectly comfortable pulling off such a massive stunt.

Shocker: Mayoral Pot Committee Says Ignore Pot Laws

If Denver residents aren't crackheads they're potheads. With the passage of a legally irrelevant ordinance (written by a disingenous group of potheads called SAFER) which calls for relaxation of enforcement of marijuana possession laws by setting pot prosecutions a low priority (and so making it all but legal), the Denver Marijuana Policy Review Panel which was formed as part of this ordinance has released a memorandum telling the Denver Police to lay off potheads during the Democratic National Convention. Yes, these potheads are so committed to their Cheech & Chong lifestyle that they've suckered the public into passing an ordinance in which we are all forced to pay for a Pothead Panel. SAFER has pushed its agenda by saying that the police would be freed from pursuing potheads (without offering proof that the police are burdened by pot laws) so they can handle other matters. Police don't "pursue" potheads anyway. If they're caught with the stuff after being stopped for something else, or if they're seen smoking a fat blunt in public (maybe) they'll get cited. Now of course if you consider the public cost of this Pothead Panel, we could just as easily use that money to hire more police officers to enforce all existing laws (thereby unburdening them!) rather than dishonestly trying to sneak certain offenses past on a childishly transparent pretext of public safety which crumbles under logical analysis. You have to wonder how many drug dealers belong to this group.

Part of the resolution reads,

The Marijuana Policy Review Panel recommends that the Denver Police Department should refrain from arresting, detaining, or issuing a citation to any adult 21 years of age or older for the private possession of up to one ounce of marijuana during the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

So far the Denver Police and Denver DA aren't interested in ignoring the law in favor of potheads nor ignoring the connection between marijuana smuggling and widespread gang violence. Bummer, dude.

Update: "Open House" at Invesco Field

After getting the runaround via email I finally confirmed it. Yep.. It's a hoax. I just got off the telephone with the Obama HQ office that is doing the ticket distribution. During the 2 days of call-backs of selectionees I was not contacted at all. I was just told that only people who were selected were contacted. He had no explanation of why I was rejected after my early request the first few hours of the application process. My early application has meant nothing, and I don't believe for a minute that the entirety of the throngs of drooling Obamabots who applied after me were likewise rejected for tickets. The only explanation, then, is that there was in fact some sort of vetting process for applicants. Non-Democrats, non contributors and other unknowns were sifted out. There is no other logical explanation. Obama doesn't want thousands of hecklers in that stadium while he's waxing righteous on worldwide television. It was a public relations ploy, and nothing more.

Hoax: DNC "Open House" at Invesco Field

The Democratic National Committee is offering 30,000 free seats to Colorado residents at Invesco Field for Barack Obama's acceptance speech which they are touting as a "historical event" which wouldn't be one except the Democrats are indirectly pushing the race issue in calling it such. So much for post-racial.

The DNCC advertised these seats as being open to the whole of the community, regardless of political affiliation, first come, first serve. They gave no indication of disqualifying factors other than ability to travel to the event and have a verifiable identity. Logically speaking, this makes little sense. I was proven correct as I applied for two "community credentials" only hours after the DNC began accepting applications. My submission was well within the window of available seating, therefore numerically, I should have been guaranteed credentials. My application, however, has gone down the memory hole. I had my suspicions verified today by the Denver comPost's PoliticsWest.com audio news report called Obamarama Ticket Update. The announcer declared that he had recieved an email from the DNCC inquiring if he was still interested in the credentials, and whom to contact about it. I received no such email. All that did happen on my end was that after I submitted my application for credentials, I was kindly added to the Obama campaign's spam email list.

As Obama's public appearances - especially those on television - are known to be controlled, scripted and coreographed as much as possible, its highly unlikely that his crowning moment at the Democratic Convention would be any less. Just letting anyone in could end up disruption, his speech among his flock being submerged in waves of booing and jeering on worldwide television. More likely, then, that the general public offering was a public relations ploy of sorts to boast the number of people applying for access credentials by making it appear as if all those people really just love Obama and he loves them back. In reality, they've undoubtedly subject all applications to a secretive selection process likely beginning with the email address of submitters checked with the Obama campaign for contributions, campaign activity, and membership in the Colorado Democratic Party. Undoubtedly applicants who ticked the "volunteer" box with their submissions also were bounced to the front of the pecking order. As I am not a volunteer, nor donor, nor Democrat, I have been tossed by the wayside.

Recently Denver was once again presented with a not-so-uncommon trend in crime: black on white. Numerous white women have been kidnapped at gunpoint and forced to withdraw money from ATM machines. All of the suspects are black males. Of course, the usual reaction to such things is stony silence followed by a quick trip down the memory hole. Obviously, the victims are being selected in part due to their gender and their race. The media were more than happy to say that "four women" were abducted, robbed, and sometimes hogtied. But that the victims were white and the suspects black? Nope, can't cross that line.

In 2006, a black male shot and murdered a white police officer and shot at a white woman who was driving to work. The white police officer was in his own vehicle, in civilian clothing. The killer approached him at a stoplight and shot him several times through his car window. Only one story I saw in the local Denver media at the time mentioned the racist views of the black killer as well as the racist literature found in his home. The others ignored it entirely. Would the media have taken this approach if the killer were white and the victims black? Of course not, so what's wrong with this picture?

Not only are the media in general in denial about a black crime problem, but moreso in denial about the black-on-white crime epidemic. This epidemic is plainly obvious in annual US Department of Justice crime data and elsewhere, such as in studies of prison rape, which are overwhelmingly black-on-white. A few examples for browsing.

Last, but not least, studies of prison rape conducted through several decades show a consistent racial pattern in rape. Stop Prisoner Rape's online study remarked,

"The fact remains that blacks continually and almost exclusively rape whites in prison. Interestingly, this major finding in prisoner rape is not easily found at http://www.srp.org. After all, who would send money to a group that discovered that most victims of a crime were white?! White victims just don't bring the sympathy and the dollars that black and brown victims do, and what enlightened person would hold black and brown attackers accountable (aren't these "hate crimes"?) and force them to leave those white boys alone? The Chronic Denver Homeless and Those Who Love Them

It's amazing to see how the do-gooders who dedicate themselves to helping the homeless get a clue as to how many of the chronically homeless don't mind being so because it's become part of their lifestyle. In 1997 and 1998 I worked at a job where day labor was often used in busy times, and it happened more than once that after I got home from work I would head to a neighborhood food store only to see one or more of the day laborers that I had just gotten done working with coming out of Denver Drug & Liquor with an already open bottle of booze. In the 10 years since, I continue to see a few of them from time to time, always drunk and loitering somewhere. One I came across passed out drunk on a sidewalk. One thing that most advocates of the homeless do not understand is that 1) if these people are willing to work, the money they get all goes toward their alcohol and drugs, and 2) people like this tax food banks and soup lines because they want to spend their little money on alcohol and drugs which means that local food banks are unnecessarily burdened and drained. "Aiding" people like this only encourages them and prolongs their unwillingness to straighten up. Whenever you see someone panhandling or "performing" on the street for money, that person is either a chronically homeless drug and alcohol abuser or is a complete moron. I call them morons because local charities have free clothes, free clothes washing and even free showers to help them work. Combine this with the large number of jobs available to them and the picture of willful homelessness comes together. All I can figure of these advocates of the homeless is that they were reared in sheltered suburban environments and do not understand inner city lifestyles. In fact, most of these advocates tend to be middle class white people who often praise the Lord and I suspect many of the older ones help out to get into heaven.

Here's an example of someone who either doesn't want to hold down a job or is not able to formulate simple logic and mathematics. "Street performers" get very little money for all their guitar playing and bongo drum beating, and if they worked even a minimum wage job (which do not exist) they would come out vastly ahead for the same time spent. The idiocy is mind-boggling.

Sharing among brothers is a great thing. The close-knit Armstrong family even share run-ins with the Denver Police. Pops Armstrong was shot to death by the po-po in 1980, and Earl, the elder brother, the community activist, police critic and wife beater, is convinced that his younger brother, Thomas Charles, wound up seriously injured and in a coma due to a vendetta harbored by the Denver Police due to his having filed a complaint against an officer 2 years before the incident which left T.C. hospitalized. Yes that's right. For 2 years, the Denver Police were itching for a chance of get-back and finally hit pay dirt the day they found Earl's younger brother drugged up and going bonkers in the middle of the street. "Oh look! It's that Armstrong guy! Kick his ass!"

Now that a Denver jury found little brother T.C. guilty of resisting arrest, this will undoubtedly be used as proof of persecution and the excuse for future run-ins with the law. The civil right$ lawsuit goes ahead.

Marxist rag Worker's Weekly World has seized on this story to push its leftist agenda and made some rather entertaining claims, none of which are sourced, needless to say. Among the highlights are that the Armstrong family are "under constant police surveillance," that Earl is followed "every time he leaves his home," was *gasp* "stopped and cited," and that T.C. had suffered "bite marks." Downtown Denver Does Not Have a Vagrant Problem... Really

As I had expected the moment the Democratic National Committee chose Denver for the '08 convention, the city is scrambling to get the unsightly homeless off the streets of downtown to give the Democratic lovers of the impoverished and downtrodden a happy experience in August. They're trying to bait them with big-screen TVs at homeless shelters and free passes to the zoo (where they can annoy the locals) to keep them off of downtown streets and away from the cash cow of wandering liberals. Fat chance. Undoubtedly, if all else fails, expect a repeat of former mayor Wellington Webb's old strong-arm tactic of simply harassing them, such as was done when a container town near the Platte River was torn down to make way for loft construction in Lower Downtown. Expect territorial clashes in Civic Center Park between drug dealers and winos and the Marxist ReCreate 68 interlopers who plan on building an illegal tent city there.

The Rocky Flats plant, which once manufactured plutonium triggers for nuclear weapons, was literally upstream from Standley Lake, left quite a legacy which has vanished into the local media's memory hole. This map shows lifetime cancer risks for laborers for "all events" (nuclear accidents and other outdoor releases, including those intentional). That blue splotch in the middle there, Standley Lake, was closed down in the early half of the 1990s temporarily while crews dredged the bottom of it to remove radioactive materials (who knows what became of the glowing fish). During this entire operation, the public was told that the lake, while unsafe to fish and swim in, still remained a fine quality drinking source, as it does to this day. Yum!

Mexican Gangbangers Ruining LoDo

Twice in the past year there have been shootings in lower downtown Denver involving Mexicans. Its common enough, along with the general problem of drunken brawls in numerous area bars and nightclubs, area residents are begging to regret they moved in (apparently they had difficulty seeing the obvious). Undoubtedly part of the problem is that Lower Downtown is just across the highway from Mexican neighborhoods with well-known gang problems.

"Denver Police say one person was killed when a 'gun battle' broke out between two groups. Police have closed off the area surrounding a parking lot at 18th and Market as they conduct an investigation.

A woman, who did not want to be identified, told 9NEWS she saw the shooting happen just before 2 a.m. She says she saw a crowd of people leaving a nearby nightclub and three fights broke out in the parking lot.

'It looked like a big fight was starting to happen at the parking lot,' said witness Mychael Oddson.

That's when gunfire echoed through lower downtown.

'I'd say about 30 shots broke out - boom, boom, boom,' said Oddson.'"

Ah, the downtown retards strike again. You have to admire the great lengths at which some people will go to prove to everyone how stupid they are. This reminds me of a downtown purse snatching I witnessed in 1986 in which a gang of approximately 10 black males stole a purse from a white woman who appeared to be in her 50s on the 1800 block of Larmier. They thought it adequate enough to take the purse half a block down and rifle through it at the end of an alley. Reacting on instinct and outrage, I, while riding in the passenger seat of a moving car, hung half of myself out of the window and began screaming at them and cussing them out. The stupids panicked, dropped the purse and ran. Several minutes later I saw one of them walking past the fire station at 19th and Lawrence streets, covered in sweat and trying to act innocent. Ah, Denver.
